Gathering around the long table in the Pirtti brings calmness and a welcome pause from the rush of everyday life.
The old log walls breathe more than a century of history. Over a hundred years ago, the Pirtti served as an inn for travelers, and from 1904 until the 1970s, it also housed the postal services of the Kytömäki area in Hyrynsalmi.
The kitchen in Pirtti is fully equipped, featuring a dinner set for over 10 people, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There are two bedrooms with sleeping space for five guests, plus a traditional wooden bed in the main room and a shorter bed in the second chamber.
Nearby, the well-equipped log cabin Loma-Laattaja provides accommodation for up to 10 guests. Additional sleeping space is available in the yard cabins when needed.
Outside, guests can enjoy a yard sauna with a wood-burning stove, and firewood is available in the woodshed.
