Laattajan Pirtti, Puolangantie 193 B, Hyrynsalmi

Laattajan Pirtti is a stylish and popular log cabin located in the scenic hill landscapes of Upper Kainuu in Finland. Accommodation is available for 1–5 guests (+1+1), and two additional log huts can be arranged for larger groups.

The cabin has been renovated, with a new kitchen and bathroom (with shower) completed in 2022. There are two bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: double bed for 2

Bedroom 2: double bed for 2, single bed for 1, and a shorter bed suitable for a child

In the main room, there is also a traditional wooden bed. A baby bed and high chair are available in the storage hut.

Pets are welcome. In spring, summer, and autumn, the yard features a dog kennel and a Jämpti doghouse.

The cabin is fully equipped with all essential kitchenware and appliances: ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, smart TV, hot and cold running water, and bed linen. The bathroom includes a shower.

For vehicles, there are engine heater outlets and an Elli ID. Charger Pro 11 kW EV charging station (charging fee €0.25 /kWh). When charging an EV, please avoid using the other heater outlets at the same time.

Heating includes electric radiators in every room, plus a baking oven and wood stove in the main room, and a fireplace in one of the bedrooms. The bathroom has underfloor heating.

During cold weather, guests may use the baking oven for extra warmth — the owner will provide instructions if needed.

In the snow-free season, you can access the Ukkohalla mountain biking trails directly from the yard via the connecting road.

Check-in is from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival, and check-out by 12:00 noon on the day of departure. Please leave the cabin clean, or book a cleaning service separately.

Swamp Soccer accommodation: suitable for larger groups — there's plenty of space in the main cabin and two log huts.

The cabin is located in the heart of the Hyrynsalmi–Puolanka–Suomussalmi area, just a 10-minute drive from Ukkohalla.

In winter, the parking area is cleared with a tractor.

In spring, summer, and autumn, the yard includes a dog kennel and a Jämpti doghouse; in winter, the kennel area is covered with snow.

Outside, guests have access to a yard sauna with a wood-burning stove. In the sauna's washroom, there is a traditional cauldron (muuripata) for easily heating water, and the dressing room is equipped with an infrared heater for winter use. Firewood is available in the woodshed.

In the yard, there are two traditional log cabins available for rent.

There is also a summer kitchen and grill house equipped with a table and an enclosed fireplace.
